During the Open Studio, Mehta will demonstrate and speak about his music and his methods. Things you can expect to see and hear are Mehta’s trumpet innovations, e.g. the “DRUMPET” and extensions which include “swinging tubes and singing lamps”, as well as his compositions which employ his sketches, drawings, and paintings to visualize his musical imagination.  Mehta will share the results of his past involvements with leading American architects Steven Holl and Daniel Libeskind as well as the process leading to a site-specific response to the unique architectural and artistic environment of Spring.
