“Relatively young, frustrated office lady, buried under paperwork, trying to understand the world through the OED, seeks professional help. Looking for kind, experienced organisers and linguisticians for companionship and stimulating conversations. Meet me on 18, 25, 26 April. Email me at intotheworb@gmail.com.” As part of the public program for Days push off into nights, artist Ho Sin Tung will hold three intimate consultation sessions where Ho and Christina Li invite Michelle Wong (Sat, April 18, in English), Lee Chi-Leung (Sat, April 25, in Cantonese) and Wong Wai Yin (Sun, April 26, in Cantonese) to discuss the bittersweet and solitary moments of research, writing and representation. All sessions will start at 3:30 pm. Spaces are extremely limited, so please sign up at intotheworb@gmail.com. On Sunday, April 26, the last day of the exhibition, Ho’s session will be followed by a screening of the film “News from Home” by Chantal Akerman. More information on the screening below. |

On Sunday, April 26, directly following the last consultation session with Ho Sin Tung, we’ll celebrate the last day of the show with a screening of Chantal Akerman’s “News from Home” (1977). Set in New York City in the 1970s, the film is an intimate document by Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman about her move to the city. Akerman’s narration of letters she received from her mother in Brussels accompanies drifting shots, everyday street scenes and people in transit, passing time between connections. Filmed together with cinematographer Babette Mangolte, her investigation of the city offers viewers the poignant and absorbing experience of watching a newcomer begin to find her bearings in a foreign place. These are the last few days of our exhibition Days push off into nights, which features artists Olga Chernysheva, Moyra Davey, Exhibition hours This exhibition is generously supported by Mondriaan Fund, AXA and Stefano Del Vecchio. |

Dear reader,
Within these pages are stories born of an invitation to take leave of one’s regular habits in order to access those subterranean thoughts we rarely have time to explore… |
