A Constructed World: Embarrassments have in fact always been a big part of our work. I was kind of wondering whether this kind of embarrassment is being colonized or gentrified or something like that by being digitized so much and by being represented in a number of pre-formed kinds of ways. In some way, I think we were really interested in people doing things that they didn’t know how to do, like write, sing, dance; that includes a certain type of embarrassment as a revealing of something that you perhaps didn’t know. Like something related to the unconscious, using the unconscious in an effortless way, by being embarrassed.
