The establishment of the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) in Hong Kong Baptist University was announced in November 2004, which is the first university academy of its kind in Hong Kong, providing visual arts degree programmes linked to international exchange, current arts development and the fast-growing creative industries. AVA offers excellent teaching and is committed to nurturing creative and professional talent of international renown.

AVA is fully equipped with workshops and studios for Craft Arts, Design Arts, Studio Arts and New Media Arts, computer laboratories, galleries, as well as student studios. AVA offers academic programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and at the same time cultivates the development of art and culture in Hong Kong.
