The HK FARMers’ Almanac:
Book Sprint and Open Day
August 19-21, 23

We are celebrating the extraordinary year of HK Farm’s residency at Spring Workshop with a collective harvesting of The HK FARMers’ Almanac on Chushu (處暑), the 14th solar term of the lunar calendar. Mark the tempering of summer heat with us in the cool of Spring, and join our ranks at the specially conceived Almanac installation and production site. Participate in putting together your own mini HK FARMers’ Almanac to take home, and trace with our contributor-editors a year’s worth of urban agriculture, and—as The Old Farmer’s Almanac says, “everything under the sun, including the moon.”

The HK FARMers’ Almanac is a project jointly sowed by HK Farm (Glenn Eugen Ellingsen, Michael Leung and Anthony Ko), Farms for Democracy, Sangwoodgoon (Natalie Lo), Very MK (Holok Chen), Yaumatei Gardener (Kiki Ho and Dorothy Cheung), Bishan Commune (Kunfang Zhao), artist-researcher Elaine W. Ho, writer-researcher Ming Lin, journalists Kit Chan, Christopher DeWolf and Laine Tam, and Spring Workshop’s Mandy Chan and Mimi Brown. (Find comprehensive information on HK Farm’s activities at Spring in the Spring Workshop Archive Dropbox.)
