Chelsea Wan was born in England in 1994 and came to Hong Kong at the age of 4. She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) degree awarded by Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University in 2016, majored in painting.

Now Chelsea shuttles between the old-styled village in the New Territories where she grew up in and the high-rises in the city everyday. The bustling lifestyle of Hong Kong people had urged Chelsea to, via her works, reflect on the relationship between urban people and nature. Chelsea made various experiments on pictures printed with her home printer and was fascinated by the labyrinth like patterns when making wet inkjet printed images.

Her recent works, by combining superimposed leaves picked up from roadsides and images of local landscapes, was an attempt to raise awareness of the natural and man-made environment around you and me.
